We often get asked the question, do we really recycle? What happens to all the recycling when it comes back to the depot?
At our depot, we take recycling very seriously and are committed to ensuring that all the recycling that comes to us is sorted and processed properly. We understand that there may be some doubts about whether we actually recycle or not, which is why we would like to explain our process in detail.
When the recycling comes back to our depot, the first step is to sort it manually and separate it into different categories such as clear, brown, and green glass, HDPE, PET, paper, cardboard, aluminium, mixed plastics, and tin. This is done to ensure that each type of material is handled properly and can be recycled efficiently.
However, there may be times when we are short on staff, and we don’t have enough people to sort your recycling. In such situations, our office and management team members step forward and volunteer to work on their day off, which is a testament to their dedication and commitment to recycling.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Milly Yang, our Admin and Finance Manager, Neville Pearce, our Logistics Manager, and Tofiq Khan, our Business Development Manager, who gave up their day off to sort your recycling for those customers whose recycling was collected by Rubbish Direct on 27 SAT FEB. Their dedication and hard work ensure that we can deliver on our promise of recycling.
